This week, someone using my “MindsetOS™” portal sent in a question anonymously. Let’s get right to it.

time mastery empowermentThis Week’s Question:

From an Anonymous User:

I constantly feel busy and feel like there’s never enough time in the day. How can I break free from this cycle and have some control over my schedule?

This Week’s Answer:

Thank you for your Question:

Anyone who’s been in personal development for a hot second knows, “Your word is your wand.” (the sequel to author Florence Shovel-Shin’s classic book The Game of Life and How to Play It.). If you haven’t read it, it’s a must-read! You won’t be disappointed.

Moreover, your words cast a spell of possibility (or limitation) based on what you say and how you say them. Furthermore, they facilitate the boundaries of your capacity for what you can get done in your day.

Basically, here are 3 words and phrases I NO longer use about my time and schedule:

  •  “I’m busy.”
  •  “I’m swamped.”
  •  “I’m catching up.”

As a professional hypnotherapist and coach, I’ve learned to use words and language to help my clients reach their goals.

Every day, I use these same techniques to deal with my own challenges. As a result, it yielded remarkable results that have positively transformed my life.

This is how your subconscious mind understands the word “busy”, influencing your perceptions and actions accordingly.

“Busy” typically connotes that you’re at capacity… therefore, it sends a signal to your subconscious mind that you are not able to receive more. It’s say no thank you!

“Swamped” just feels unpleasant. Have you ever been in a swamp? Obviously, it’s not a nice place to be.

Feeling like you’re swamped with work doesn’t lead to a good experience, not only it increases stress but also decreases your productivity.

“Catching up” makes it seem like you’re behind schedule. This puts you in a position where time controls you, rather than the other way around.

Have you ever played “freeze tag” with someone faster than you? Trying to catch up can leave you feeling tired and defeated.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to complain about my life that I’m busy, I want to be grateful for it.

This is how I’ve been changing my way of thinking about being busy, so I can do more.

Feel free to give it a try and observe how it impacts your energy levels. Additionally, pay attention to any changes in your productivity throughout the day.time mastery empowerment<

  • “All my efforts flow with ease and grace.”- For this reason, this tells my brain that I don’t have to struggle. It’s also okay to take my time and work on my goals.
  • “I was born for this.” – I believe that I can handle whatever comes my way, surely taking it one step at a time.
  • “I’m expanding my capacity with every goal I accomplish today.” – This shows me that every little success helps me grow, eventually.

I’ve put together a helpful PDF with 7 Subconscious Language Patterns that can help you work with your brain more effectively.
